Guest guest
In a message dated 00-08-16 20:17:02 EDT, you write: << Hahahahahahaha ... That's a riot, Rich! I am so filthy and exhausted from a-movin' and a-scrubbin' ... I surely needed that laugh! >> So you're all moved now, Susie? Is it in the same area? You deserted your beautiful hilltop with wildlife all around? V.
Guest guest
OK, call me skeptical, but I have some questions BEFORE I respond to this survey, IF I do. - I got notification from Egroups that you joined this list two minutes before posting this. You have chosen NOT to let your profile be visible to other members of this list. Hmmmmmmmm. Do you plan to be an active member of this list? - If you're not going to be an active member of this list, why shouldn't I consider this to be spam that you joined the list just to send? - Why is this survey not on the UV or the NECI web site? If this is on the up and up, that's great. Unfortunately, diabetics are spammed and scammed just entirely too often. This is my post both as a list member and a moderator of the list. I respectfully request a timely answer. Teri Groundbreaking Diet Research Hello, the Food Science Center of the University of Vermont and the New England Culinary Institute are conducting joint research to develop a prepared meal plan specifically tailored for Diabetics. We are conducting this survey to find out more about the tastes and needs of Diabetics. Please help us. We are convinced that a nutritionally complete, physician recommended, great tasting meal plan CAN be developed. But we need to here from people such as you in order to better meet the needs of the Diabetic community. This survey should only take a few minutes of your time and will help us enormously. Thank you in advance and if you like, we will keep you informed of any new developments in our product. The information will only be used in the aggregate and all information will be kept strictly confidential. Thanks in advance, Allard New England Culinary Institute Please copy the link below and paste it into your browser to take the survey. http://www.pwshift.com/bacg/bacgdiabetes.htm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Public website for Diabetes International: http://www.msteri.com/diabetes-info/diabetes_int
Guest guest
Re: Groundbreaking Diet Research This is a scam, folks. They are just fishing for personal info, such as household income, magazines you like to read, hobbies, number of children, etc. ABSOLUTELY !!! I wouldn't give them the time of day. The idea that there might be a prepackaged meal for diabetics -- as if we ALL ate the same thing every day. Ridiculous. I'm going to try to check more on this tomorrow. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Public website for Diabetes International: http://www.msteri.com/diabetes-info/diabetes_int
Guest guest
I've already forwarded it to the University of Vermont and the New England Culinary Institute. I can find nothing about this on either of their sites. Re: Groundbreaking Diet Research This is a scam, folks. Guest guest
Susie, Yes, there are probably those folks out there wanting to make a fast buck and there are a few others that will jump at the chance to get it, either out of desperation or status, but I like something Carlin once said that fits anything that might seem just the least bit suspicious: " If you nail two things together that have never been nailed together before, some schmuck will buy it from you. " Need I say more? Rich Syracuse, NY Susie wrote: > This is a scam, folks. Guest guest
Thank you, Miss Susie. OH, and more . . . y'all will not see any more posts from this person unless the unbelievalbe occurs, and he proves himself to be legit. I have limited his posting so that or I must approve his post before it goes to the list, and have removed his privilege to upload files to our eGroups space. I don't know why so many people call me, " Mom. " <g> Re: Groundbreaking Diet Research Teri wrote: << I've already forwarded it to the University of Vermont and the New England Culinary Institute. I'm sure both the U of Vermont and the New England Culinary Institute will be horrified to be associated with such a cheap-o scam where even the most common words are misspelled.
