20/20 last Friday - You on a Diet

Did anyone else watch 20/20 on ABC last Friday? One of the segments

involved two M.D.s who wrote a new bestseller book " You on a diet " .

The focus of their book (I haven't read it, nor will I) seems to be

that waist size is the single most important measure of long term

health, because of the adipose fat deposits. Those fat deposits, being

underneath the abdominal muscle sheath, are the worst kind for our long

term healh. THey go on to describe a diet, based on science, that

looks to me (from what was mentioned on TV) as being quite similar to

the EFL type of diet. Of course they promote regular exercise also.

What did anyone else think?
