Patient with Electric shock feelings

An 81 year old woman has been getting what she describes as intermittent

" electric shock feelings in both arms " for some months now. She takes Metformin

500mg for diabetes type 2, and thyroid medication, levothyroxine 75 micrograms.

She is convinced it is related to what she describes as cystitis but on further

questioning I believe to be irritable bladder. She has a reasonably good diet

and practises yoga and tai chi regularly.

Any thoughts?

Peripheral neuropathy? Check Vitamin B’s status. What is her HBA1c like? And her Free T3? Both Hypericum and Zanthoxylum cover electric shock-like sensations, but other nervines and adaptogens and of course correcting any underlying glucose dysregulation would be important Best wishesCraig From: ukherbal-list [mailto:ukherbal-list ] On Behalf Of herbsalive5Sent: 23 November 2011 14:47To: ukherbal-list Subject: Patient with " Electric shock " feelings An 81 year old woman has been getting what she describes as intermittent " electric shock feelings in both arms " for some months now.
