Guest guest
It depresses me just to think about it, I'm still hoping I'll wake up to find its all been a ghastly dream [that can be swiftly despatched with a good glug of Broad Oaks powerfully joyful ...] Therri From: Gascoigne (IRL) Sent: Saturday, September 24, 2011 8:54 AM To: ukherbal-list Subject: Re: Herbal Advisory Board appointing 2 x members Hi I see that the herbal advisory board is looking for a pharmacist and hospital physician. Guest guest
What is a bigger surprise (although, again maybe it shouldn't) is the craven attitude of our registers. I had llong and depressing correspondence last year with members of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine some of whom sit on the Herbal Advisory Board of the MHRA. The opinion of certain members was that this board was without bias and people on it did not have connections with or were unduly influenced by the pharmaceutical industry. When herbalists have this naive view of conventionally trained and conventionally practising people, we really are stuffed. However, when the dust settles, when regulation and control has already happened, it will be a little too late to have a more realistic view of pharmaceutical influence.Regards I absolutely agree but cant say its a surprise.... regards ,annette Herbal Advisory Board appointing 2 x members <111.gif> Hi all See the following link from the appointments commission. https://www.appointments.org.uk/JobDetails.aspx/1557/Herbal_Medicines_Advisory_Committee_2_Members?Lang=1 Best to all Trudy Trudy Norris Medical Herbalist, Lymphoedema Therapist, Coach trudynorris.nimh@... <05_puppy_sticky_note_en.gif>
Guest guest
Hi Marilena Just going through emails - suggest you go via the appointments commission HTTPS://www.appointments.org.UK/. You can also subscribe to notifications here. Just going through the threads as well....the interests in herbal medicines are huge...and within that pot our influence as practitioners is somewhat smaller - it will be interesting to see how and if this is influenced by a regulatory structure. Hope you are well Marilena :-) -- Herbal Advisory Board appointing 2 x members Hi all See the following link from the appointments commission. https://www.appointments.org.uk/JobDetails.aspx/1557/Herbal_Medicines_Advisory_Committee_2_Members?Lang=1 Best to all Trudy Trudy Norris Medical Herbalist, Lymphoedema Therapist, Coach trudynorris.nimh@...
