I FLAGGED YOUR MESSAGE TO REREAD AND WHEN I CAME TO IT TODAY I BEGAN TO WONDER ABOUT YOU. HOW ARE YOU DOING WISHING YOU HAPPINESS AND BUTTERFLIES LYNN shelly_hooker wrote: Hi all I am new to all of this and am so scared. My whole situation started with the right side of my face and right arm being numb and having the feelings of pins and needles blurring vision and being very unsteady on my feet. I was sent to the er to rule out a stroke and the ct scan came back ok. they then said with my age(37) and my symptoms that they suspect ms. The next day I got a MRI done and prlim. reports say early ms. I see the Neuro on Monday and dont know what to expect.Durring this whole time my husband who is in the air force was on a temporary assignment. When I called the Red Cross to try to get him home I was told I was not sick enough for him to come home and that I would have to go through this alone. Does stress make this worse? If the neuro does agree and say ms what then? What can you do for this disease?Im sure I will have lots of questions later but thanks for any input. Guest guest
Hi Celsia, I too am new here. I was just recently diagnosed also. j have a family of 5 Australian Shepherds that all came from rescue. I ran the rescue program here for a couple of years, but a family illness came up and that had to take priority. Last year I had started competing in Agility with one of my Aussies and now have a second one just starting. I am thrilled to say that at least we accomplished all the goals I had set last year so there isn't any pressure is year when I am ready to start again. But getting back to a normal work schedule comes first!!!! I hope to find you well. Krissy

Guest guest
Sam, Thanks for the welcome. A service dog will open a whole new world for your sister. I hope she finds one soon. A lot of people have suggested I give up the rescue end of things since I am not well. But, it seems like about 90% of the dogs we bring in, have a " 6th sense " about me. People are great for support, but when people can't be there, the dogs are. Alot of people like the labs for service dogs, but I have to say I love the Rotts. They are big and strong and their devotion is never ending. It seems like they just " know " when I need help. The others involved in the rescue are amazed. Most, when they first get involved ask the question " why are Rotts your favorite? " . It usually doesn't take them long to understand. ) Celesia > My sister, who is paraplegic from a motorcycle accident, is hoping to > get a service dog soon.
