Hugs and love to you- Sandie Des Moines, IA -- Dad Now this dear old man, In my home, that the children call dad, well, he is, (big grin) Is resting right now. He got a call from one of the children that drives a semi. She has a route from Colorado to Florida. She is barely over five feet tall, and drives that humongous truck, alone. She has been doing it for years. Today, She was somewhere in MO, when she called her dad. He told her all about his illness, and they talked a long time. When she hung up, he bawled like a baby. I was so happy for him. She is so busy she doesn't get to call often. The other children will be calling before the day is over. They know not to ring when he is napping. He started replacing my toilet seat, today, just before lunch, and couldn't do it. So, of course I wallowed on the floor, and undid the bolts. He can't do many things anymore. He can't figure them out. But, I am proud of him for trying Some have questioned whether he has frontal lobe disease. I am no doctor and I sure hope he doesn't. But, I have seen his MRI, and the frontal lobe has shrunk down quite a bit. Something is wrong. I have seen mine, and the whole brain is in perfect shape. I was glad for the comparisons. I don't believe he is anywhere near those bad stages with LBD or frontal lobe. I am going to relax and enjoy him. Imogene Caregiver for my True Texas Gentleman husband of 35 years.
