Guest guest
I have had a couple of patients as of late that are knuckling in the rear legs rarely to frequently depending on the patient. They have bilateral muscle atrophy in the rear legs and usually arthritis of the hips and/or varying degrees of spondylosis. I was considering the weakness in the legs part of the knuckling problem, but am know realizing that the weakness may be a consequence of decreased neurologic input causing the knuckling. Besides UWTM for strengthening, do you suggest at home static weight bearing, proprioception and stabilization exercises? If these dogs can walk would PNF pattern exercises do them any good? Thanks for advice.
