Guest guest
Myself when young did eagerly frequent halls of great learning and heard much argument but evermore went out by that same door wherein I went! ------------------------------- All thought is conscious. Consciousness functions through duality. Ergo it is the wrong instrument to define God. As Jung said: the longest journey we have to make is from the mind to the heart! Why do u suppose he carved a child on the Bollingen Stone? The way inward lies in uniting opposites. Sym-bolos. Think of physical conception. Sperm/egg n the mathematical sequence of mitosis. Yin/yang symbol lies w/in a surrounding circle. The empty circle = unmanifest Spirit. So perhaps the mystery of sperm/egg is the unmanifest mystery of LIFE manifesting...........the pook! :] -------------------------- In re: Newton. He was also an astrologer. When rebuked by a fellow scientist, he replied: " Sir, have you studied the matter? I have! " ----------------------------- If one views astrology - as Jung did - one can see that it is a symbolic language of archetypal processes. Verbs. These unite science and religion. During the Age of Reason both science and religion cast it out. In so doing, IMHO, religion lost its proof and science its sense of the sacred. So astrology was reduced in large part to the role of a fallen woman associated w/Madame La Zongas, superstitious twaddle for nincompoops, which is what I myself considered it until I was 21. For wh I am grateful bec I can fully understand a sceptic! I have spent 61 yrs now trying, along w/others, to restore it to its rightful dignity. Theoretical physics may well be the way, according to Capra, to reunite science n religion. I co-taught w/Capra on a ship going around the Mediterranean. I have the highest regard for him n for Rupert Sheldrake who is the author of MORPHIC RESONANCE, a challenge to Darwinian theory. Met him in Bombay n ag in Calif. Now the two have co-authored a bk, I think.I think ? I was told that at a Musuem of Science there is an inscription on a wall detailing the History of Science and Astrology is the earliest listed - at least 4000 years old. It has also evolved thru time. For anyone interested, e-m privately n I cn send a copy of an article I wrote n is published titled " In the Beginning was a Verb: On the Stratification of Archetypes. " _----------------------- I think in the end we need endophysics rather than metaphysics. Everything we seek is in plain sight but we need to consider the obvious! as Jung shouted at me in my dream. " Heaven is spread upon the earth but men do not see it. " " Having eyes, we do not see. " Nothing is hidden. We are blind. Yet there is a way of seeing. Jung could see. It's like popcorn. Once you've popped, you've popped! Think of looking the wrong end of a kaleidoscope - chaos! Think of the wrong side of a patterned sock - that's the way we see ourselves - a tangled mess - aha! but Spirit wears socks right side out - there's hope for us all!
