Guest guest
My associate (ok actually boss who is really getting on board and enthusiastic with getting rehab up and running) asked me about a case. I still have my neuro course to go so perhaps I would get the answer there but in the meantime.... She has a 10 yr (I think) F/S corgi dx'd with DM on genetic testing. She said the dog recently got a cart and is otherwise non-ambulatory. (I don't know how much has been done with the cart yet. I think they just got it and we have had no feedback.) She was wondering if there are things we could do with rehab that would benefit this dog. My own follow-up question would be what kind of low tech (we don't have a lot of equipment yet) treatments may help? If I remember this family correctly the owner is a stay-at-home mom so she is around but has several kids and so there for not a lot of time she can set aside to work on things at home. I could be wrong about that. It has been a long time since I have seen this patient or family.
