Sheryl-

I know of 2 families from the suburbs of Chicago that I met in Houston. There

is one family in Bloomington and one in

another town about an hour from here but I can't remember where. There's also

an older student at our School for the

Deaf, but I haven't met her. I'm the only one close to the Iowa border but I'm

not sure how close I'd really be to

you. Haven't consulted a map yet. I'm one hour SE of Quincy, IL; 40 min

directly east of Hannibal, MO. I have a

friend in Aledo, IL. It takes me a little over 2 hrs to get to her house if I

recall correctly. Are you on the other

side of IA?

Michele,

Looking at the map, looks like the Quad Cities would be most central for all

of us. For me alone....I would probably go the route of Burlington. That is

about 160 miles from here. I live in south central Iowa just 35 miles south

of Des Moines.

I would love to meet with you. Right now, we are harvesting. I need to be

around on the weekends to help. Hubby made some comments in conversation to

relatives that I was out on a " mission " last weekend when he needed my help.

But, I loved my " mission " .

How about we work out something after harvest and before the hectic holidays

begin?

You tell me when the time is right for you and we'll see what's up here. We

don't have to worry about harvest (big

farming community but we're not farmers) so it's just the holidays to consider

here. It'd be wonderful to meet. I

might even be able to work in a night at my friend in Aledo...
