God Bless You Ruth Ellen;

Age 63 having the Sx. Now I thought I was pushing it at 58. Happy to know

we were both right in doing it and have a new lease on life. Probably added

10 to 15 years my doc said.

wrote in a note today::::

I had my surgery November 20 2001 and have lost almost 62 lbs, you'd think i

would have all kinds of energy but just the oposite, I am always tired.

Like today for example i got up about 8:00 A.M. and by 11:00 i laid down and

fell asleep until almost 1:00.  Then at 3:00 P.M. i got a headache and laid

down and fell asleep until 4:30.  Why do i feel like this.  I had blood work

done acouple of weeks ago and everything is just fine.  I take 2 centrums

daily, 6 daily fat burners a day, and 2 calciums a day and one vitamin A.

What do you think?

Hi Tracey;

Let's see, if I figure right you are out of Sx about 4 months.

I was like that for 4 1/2 months

no, probably 5 months. I am now 8 mos out and I do have my energy back.

That was a constant question with me. Why dont I have any energy?

Why do I need so much sleep? I dont know the answer cept I was

very very low on my calorie and carb intake and maybe that is why I

didnt have energy. I was also 58 and figured this was MAJOR SURGERY

and I should expect it. My sister who is 5 years younger had the SX

two weeks after me and she had the same problem about the same

period of time. Same genes I guess. I will be watching for some

answers to your question. I think I asked my poor hubby that every

day. It did go away though and I got more energy and am back to

normal now. Maybe its our bodies way of telling us. Rest and take

care till I tell you its OK.

My stomach does make noise all the time. I will be in the car with

3 other people and they will all hear it. Ihave to say, " That wasn't

me was it? And it was.
