My sweet Carol...I haven't been keeping up with you, like I should! I was sorry

when I read your post. I know that it has been hard for you because you came

home with so many tubes. I think your weight loss is GREAT! Just think, that is

29 pounds that are gone forever. They won't be coming back. You need to give

yourself time, just remember we are only 6 weeks out. Our insides are still in

shock from what all went on in there. Please don't be sad, it will get better. I

have found that when I eat refried beans that they realy seem to fill me up

(comfortably) and they last a long time without hunger. Have you tried them yet?

I am totaly addicted to cantelope...I know it has no protein value but it seems

to satisfy me and it only takes a couple of bites to fill me up. If you need me

just email...I will be glad to be there for you when you need a friend...annee

: Hi everyone!! I guess I am alittle crazy right now!! My surgery was alittle

different because I had a feeding tube put in. It had to stay ijn 6 weeks and I

have been putting my medicine and protein suppliment through it. I have been

trying to eat things (mostly Protein) through the mouth. I am 6 weeks post op

and have lost about 29 lbs, but can't seem to loose any more. My tube comes out

the 27th, but I am hungry. I think that is because my stomach is still working.

Anyway, I am frustrated. I am having a family reunion the 6th of April, and

everyone knows about this operation, and I just feel sad that already I am

stuck!! I know I should have patients, but its hard. It has always been so

hard for me to loose any weight, and I am afraid this will be the same. Don't

get me wrong, I have had alot of support, but I sometimes feel thats the

problem. Its the expectation thing!! Their expectations!! I know I should be

thinking of mine, but sometimes its hard, because I don't want to disapoint

anyone. Have you all gone through this? Anyway I am feeling sad today!! Love

Carol

Hi Colleen,

I tried every form of P and couldn't tolerate: topical cream,

Prometrium capsules, bio-identical tablets, norethinedrone

(synthetic) and finally found something that I can use. It is

Cyclogest and you can order it from Master's Marketing in the UK with

an Rx from your Dr. It comes in 200 mg. vaginal suppositories and I

cut them into 4 pieces, 50 mg. each and use one per night for 10 days

every month to 6 weeks. Dr. says every mo. but I am experimenting

with every 6 weeks. I get minimal side effects except for being

hungry. Hope this helps. You can order online or call them. Just

remember they are 5 hours later than EST.

Just something to try before surgery.

Best wishes,

Why not just use the patch and skip the P and have vaginal sonograms done? I do

this but

my ovaries are still producing P themselves after getting my Vitamin D and

calcium levels

corrected. Or maybe try the vaginal P? Surgery is a major consideration.

Thanks for all of your responses. You all gave me some "points to ponder."
