I did fat blaster cardio (I think or total body fat blaster I can

never keep those two straight) this morning using the bands for half

the workout then switched to hand weights. Here's my question...does

anyone else have trouble using the bands because they smack your legs

or rub your hands? I find on the kicks the bands hit or rub my legs

and on some of the arm work the strap rubs my hands. This becomes

both annoying and painful. I've tried adjusting how I hold them but

in the end I take them off because it's just too annoying. I don't

have the bootcamp series just fat blaster cardio and total body fat

blaster. Does anyone notice this? I like the extra effort they bring

to the workout but not the pain and annoyance.

A lot of people I know wear gloves with the bands - bike gloves or weight

lifting gloves work well - you can also use the wraps boxers use for their

hands. They rub against my legs every now and again, but sometimes if I

check my form, that goes away - and it doesn't really bother me too much.

Hey !

I do find that I have to adjust the bands to make sure I do not feel the annoying pain from the different positions. However, I have been able to find the right positions to help me avoid being poked. I use them with the Bootcamp Series so I don't know if that makes the difference.

Those straps drive me nuts. Is it just me or do they use different bands in the workouts? I don't recall seeing those straps on and the gang's bands. I like the idea of wearing gloves- I think I'll try that!!

I sometimes have the same problem. The bands I have, have a clip on

them, and a strap by the hand grips. I keep trying to look closer at

the ones on the tape, and they seem to have the band all the way to the

handle. Sometimes I have to adjust them so they don't rub. Sometime I

have the strap go over behind my thumb, and other times it works better

if on the back of my hand. I also sometimes move my grip to the top or

to the bottom of the handle so it takes some of the tension of the

skin. I wear pants so it's not so bad on my legs. But I also go

barefoot, I found I had to use them the shorter way (looping the handle

through the whole on the bottom) so they don't pinch my feet. This

makes the arm moves harder and I feel a lot of tension in my neck and

shoulders. Which I hope starts to go away after I get them strengthened

up. Hope some of this helps you too.

Well at least it's not just me. I don't know that I'll use the bands

regularly as the hand/ankle weights are less annoying but I'll try

some of the modifications you've all noted next time to see if it

helps. I do at least wear martial arts shoes so the feet aren't a

problem and them smacking my legs is only during the kicks where I

can hold them a bit differently.

I have also been using baseball gloves on my hands and since I prefer to do tae bo barefoot, but have wimpy feet, I got out some surf shoes and those seem to work. Delana.
