Guest guest
Hi Maggie, I get really good results with asthma. It is important to distinguish between the hot type with yellow phlegm when Lobelia is appropriate and the cold type (white phlegm) when Ephedra is the herb of choice. Other herbs I find good are Grindelia (especially with wheezing), breathing in the smoke from a cigarette made with Datura and with children Chamomile steam inhalation. Hyssop, Thymus and Tussilago are also good as are many others depending on the case. Anne
Guest guest
This is where I think I am failing, the correct assessment of the patient instead of just treating 'asthma'.  Maggie Maggie Pope BSc [Hons] MNIMH MCPPSedgemoor House39 Taunton RoadBridgwaterSomerset TA6 3LP Subject: asthma To: " ukherbal group " <ukherbal-list > Date: Thursday, 18 August, 2011, 14:12  Hi Maggie, I get really good results with asthma. Guest guest
I almost always use turmeric and a bitter with asthma, regardless of the formulation. The anti-inflammatory action plus the bitterness seems to be necessary.  J Fidler, MCPP, (RH) AHG Herbalist ________________________________ To: ukherbal-list Sent: Thursday, August 18, 2011 9:18 AM Subject: Re: asthma  This is where I think I am failing, the correct assessment of the patient instead of just treating 'asthma'.  Maggie Maggie Pope BSc [Hons] MNIMH MCPPSedgemoor House39 Taunton RoadBridgwaterSomerset TA6 3LP Subject: asthma To: " ukherbal group " <ukherbal-list > Date: Thursday, 18 August, 2011, 14:12  Hi Maggie, I get really good results with asthma.
