Guest guest
Hello all, wendy gave great advise, as caregivers we have to take care of ourselves first so we can take care of our lo's the way only we can. i didnt heed this advice and wound up 5 weeks in the hosp when my dad fell and broke his hip at home, my dad died 2.5 monhts later, whether me being home or not would have kept him from falling i dont know, but i know it does weigh heavy on my mind if i let it. so please remembers wendys' advise: Don't feel bad about taking time for yourself. You will be of no use to her if you become sick or depressed. It seems there is always worry and anxiety for everyone dealing with LBD. It helps to go a day or a week at a time instead of thinking to far ahead. --hugs, sharon m Daugher of Leonard, diag May 2004, had lbd since 1993, had hip surgery from fall 7/05, aspiration pneumonia 7/05 with pulmonary embolyis, had aspiration pneumonia and uti 8/05, died of blood pressure drop on 9/25/05, may he rest in peace with his mom and dad, a smile a day keeps the meanies away
