Guest guest
I am going to give you all my opinion why. When I was finally diagnosed after four years of suffering from ages 13 to 17 which was in the '70's there were no MRI's which would not show the soft tissue problems so I understand that it was difficult back then as I say that is my opion as to why then. Now we have MRI's which show the Brain which is herniated and blocking the spinal fluid flow yet many Drs. will say chiari is not serious your brain isnt supposed to be below the base of the skull the skull is there to protect your brain I think. This leads me to the Question. WHY ISN'T CHIARI CONSIDERED AS A PROBLEM? WE NEED AWARENESS (Indiana) Surgery for Chiari in 1974 at age 17 which I've always considered a success even though Ive always had problems.I new little to nothing about Chiari until May 2006.Revision done at TCI in Jan.2009. Guest guest
& Everyone, I don't post often if ever but I do read all of the posts everyday and thank everyone for the support and knowledge you share with me! Everything you have said, , is sooo true! I've often wondered myself the same things! The last time i checked the 3 most important thing to make sure not to injure or damage were " your heart, spine, and brain " .... The 3 MAJOR THINGS that are affected by our condition (the 2 cause the 3rd to go bad).... Lol I wonder sometimes if these health care professionals really have a clue what they are doing! Thanks for saying what I've been thinking! Blessings to everyone especially to and her family!! Hope everyone is having a pain free start to their week, Phedra recently diagnosed w/Chiari I- 9.9mm tonsil and some sort of CSF obstruction with no explinaton and lots of ?'s Why isn't chiari considered as a problem ??
