Guest guest
We've tried the store brands from Wal-Mart, Rite-Aid and Target, and seem to have the best luck with Depend Underwear - Extra Absorbency is good enough for the daytime, but overnight, we like the Super Plus. These are the ones that pull up like regular underwear, but can be torn off in the event of Pooptastrophe. E

Guest guest
Is this for urine or stool? My dad (clinical DX = PSP) was bladder incontinent for a year. None of the store brands worked for us. Neither did Depends. We did our own experiments where we'd pour x amount of water into a pull-up and observed which could hold the liquid and which couldn't. We found that none of the pull-ups could contain the volume of urine we assumed Dad was expunging at night. We then conducted experiments on the side-tape briefs. We found that only the most absorbent version of the Tena brand briefs with a Tena (green) pad between the brief and the body contained the volume of liquid required. I'd encourage you to go with the facility brand unless you detect that they aren't containing the liquid and then try the Tena brand. After we got a Foley indwelling (urethral) catheter, the issue became one of containing stool if Dad wasn't able to make it to the toilet in time. The pull-ups worked fine for that. > > Looked on the Links list, but didn't see any recommendations for best > men's disposable underwear. Should I let SNF provide or get from > another source?
