I've given Hypericum oil or salve (oil, fresh St. 's wort, calendula, beeswax) for scar tissue, where the nerves on one side of the scar don't quite get things right. Works a treat. Guest guest
Yes, I've used Hypericum as oil, and internally too for one patient. And as a cream for another. Nerves function recovered in about 6 weeks. ________________________________ To: ukherbal-list Sent: Sun, 7 August, 2011 18:10:01 Subject: Re: Recovering nerve function > Has anyone any experience or knowledge of recovering nerve function in > nerves damaged through trauma but left intact? Guest guest
St 's Wort is a nerve healer. Internal and external, lashings of it. Also, rub on some sort of rubefacient to stimulate the nerve endings. Vicks vapour rub works just as well as cayenne for this. Guest guest
I had a patient who had extensive nerve and tendon damage to the wrist from a knife wounds and the hospital was worried that the patient would lose use of the hand as a result. I made fresh St s wort oil - (lovely red colour as a result of the lovely spell of hot weather we had a that time) and got them to apply topically to the area twice daily -massaging in well over the area that had considerable scarring and thickening of the skin (This was about a month after the injury). Also gave a tincture with SJW, together with Avena sativa (oat straw), Ginkgo biloba and Centella aciatica. Produced excellent results - with the hospital, who were preparing to operate to remove scar tissue formation that was causing the fingers to curl into the palm, cancelling the operation and the patient gained full use of the hand and naturally very pleased Niki To: ukherbal-list From: crissi@...
