Guest guest
Hi Eirwen, Panacea used to do a tincture of Teasel, TCM uses Teasel, the Pinyin name is Xu duan. The Teasel they use is Dipsacus asperoides. Don't have their phone number right now, but I pretty sure it's online if you search for Panacea. Hope that helps. Guest guest
Please also be aware that different formats will be used differently and not necessarily interchangeable. Also most herbs in TCM are often used in the context of a main formula to enhance or modify the overall effect for a particular case. So perhaps thus is misleading. Guest guest
No problem! I thought they were interchangeable ... Guest guest
Sorry I made two potentially confusing posts! I'm not not sure if both species can be used interchangeably, my therapeutic experience relates only to the TCM version and application. Using a different format e.g. Tincture v granules can radically alter the properties, I've only used granules/powder. As far as I understand addition of alcohol makes herbs more moving. Possibly an advantage with this herb as it leans to Yang in nature. Let us know how you go on!
