Guest guest Posted June 2, 2009 Report Share Posted June 2, 2009 We saw the neurosurgeon today and next tuesday Maddy will be having surgery to take out the programmable shunt and replace it with the old non-programable kind,which worked for Maddy for neary 5 years with 2 revisions( at 1 month old due to infection and the other at 18months for a valve change). I am hoping they can get her in sooner,but she said she is very booked,there is a chance she may have to push the surgery back a day or two,but let's hope not. Maddy has 3 shunt buddies who I am asking for prayer for. Her friend H is on her way to the OR now to have a valve replacement,her friend N will be having surgery tomorrow or Wed to replace the valve and then next Tuesday her friend A will be having the same surgery as Maddy.
