Guest guest
Now you're getting into why biomed Dr.'s are better than reg doctors for this kind of thing. The titers we are mostly looking at aren't for active infections. They measure the level of antibodies produced to see if it's still hanging around latently. If you take a look at the HHV-6 Foundation you'll get a lot of info. But yes, you can treat EBV with both Rx and natural antivirals. Same thing with Varicella, it wouldn't show up because it's not active, it's a latent infection you're looking for. Stealth viruses is where this is all going. They keep the immune system activated and it either goes into overdrive (where a person never gets sick) or stays in 2nd gear all the time (constantly trying to fight things but never fully gets into drive so you always end up sick with everything under the sun that comes through - my son spent 3.5 years with chronic bronchitis). Look into Chronic Fatigue and you'll find more info.A regular doc will look at the titers and say, "so what, it just means they've been exposed or have immunity". When we look at it we see a person that is creating way too many antibodies for someone that hasn't had an active infection in a long time and it isn't normal. In traditional medicine, normal is relative. Since they are looking at a population that is generally unhealthy, "relatively" normal isn't great.CherylThat sounds good.. my regular pediatrician said running titers on my son for EBV would be a waste because you can’t prescribe anything for it for my son… is this true? I had really bad mono in my twenties and was wondering if it affected my pregnancy of my son with autism. Why checking for chicken pox.. wouldn’t those symptoms present themselves obviously through pox? Thanks!!!!!!
