constipation question

ok. we were told to give my four year old with pdd-nos miralax for

constipation. it worked for the constipation, but it made him lethargic and

vomit each time we gave it to him. so, we are now five days without a poop. he

doesnt seem to feel discomfort, nor is he straining to try and go. he is taking

a tsp of lactulose twice a day and it is doing nothing at all. i guess my

question is, does anyone else's child wait this many days before a poop. it's

pretty much the norm here, he usually goes twice a week, three times a week

tops.
