Guest guest
There is a list of ACT self help books here http://contextualpsychology.org/self_help_life_enhancement_resources Its possible that there are other books which have elements of ACT or are ACT consistent, (there are also the more technical books aimed at professionals also listed on the site), but would have to have full title and author to be sure. After a quick internet search, I wonder if you are looking at Dr Todd Snyder website? I couldnt bring myself to read the whole thing, but he does seem to be working from a place of ridding yourself of social anxiety (retraining your brain), which isnt entirely ACT consistent. I think the ACT perspective is more you might or might not have symptoms of social anxiety of varying severity, the point is to live your life anyway, to do what you really value doing, and take the anxiety along with you. j > > Happy New Year everyone! > I have just found a book online called Social Anxiety Secrets that claims to be > based on A.C.T. does anybody know if this is true (that this san A.C.T book)or > know anyting about it or have read the book. > Many Thanks > >
