hi rachelle - ive found that SLIM SERIES is so different than the training

that we usually do that it does seem to shock the body. i mean that SS is

light weight/high rep and normally you are probably lifting heavier with

THE FIRM and CATHE. however even though ive done a couple of slim

training rotations, im not sure that i like the thought of walking the fine

line of over-training with these workouts. i think that the workouts are

great... and i think that debbie siebers is great... but i still think that

muscles are owed some rest time between workouts. for those who dont know

what im talking about, slim training is all about using light weights every

day, 6 days a week. one of the current rules of fitness is to give

muscles at least 24 hours to recover and rebuild in between weighted

sessions. beachbody claims that it is ok to use the slim series workouts

every day because the light weights dont work your muscles to

failure/exhaustion and therefore, the 24 hour rule doesnt apply. however,

i find that the SS workouts are tough!! and that i do reach

failure/exhaustion with all of the reps while i use the same poundage as

the instructor. so, what im doing in my next slim series rotation is

alternating those workouts with advanced taebo. since there is not much

pure aerobic activity in the SS, i think that taebo will complement the

workouts nicely. i will be starting my next 4 week SS/TAEBO rotation in

september.

Hi Carolyn,

I just started the SI6 series Sunday, but I am feeling that I'm not

getting enought cardio. I would be interested in seeing the

rotation you develop with taebo. Thanks.

hi kim - sorry... im not using slim in 6 but slim series. they are two

different sets of workouts.

all that im going to do with the slim series workouts is to alternate them

with taebo... one day slim series, one day advanced taebo. perhaps you

can do that with the slim in 6 workouts too.
