Guest guest
Hey Patti, Was this the first time you'd felt anything along these lines? I just really don't remember if you said anything about realizing earlier symptoms, or if I'd read it if you did. It's interesting how your symptoms were affected by that vacation. Hugs, Challis Thank you Challis. I was looking for the right word. I think 'exacerbation is the word I was looking for. For me It began in March and ended in June. It was like a bell curve. It started out small, little losses of balance, three falls, one of them a really bad fall. Then it was the intense emotional crap. Meanwhile I'm in so much pain from the fall that I don't notice the other physical symptoms including the numbness in my leg and foot and the fact that I kept tripping all the time. Lots of little odd things and then the big K-BOOM!! I think it happened in May. That's when I became completely numb and felt detached from my entire boy and simply could no longer function. That lasted about 3 hours. Then came the spasms and the random migrating numbness, tingling and pain. there were days when I could barely even walk, but I still went to work. I would trip over my own feet several times a day. It slowly got better and completely went away as I left for vacation. My symptoms disappeared as the plane took off. Now its just occasional patches of mild numbness and cognitive problems. and the twitches that never went away.It flucuated a lot all the time. I guess I just assumed it was weeks or months. Wow. Challis When you find yourself in "attack" how long do yours last? Sometimes a few hours, sometimes a few days. Guest guest
I have had small patches of numbness now and then for years. I never thought much of it and never saw a doctor because I didn't have insurance. Patti Hey Patti, Was this the first time you'd felt anything along these lines? Guest guest
Hi Challis, One of the most frustrating things about ms is the unpredictable nature of it. Once you get used to it, it is a lot easier. Regards, Tom Re: Exacerbation / Attack questions Thank you so much, Tom! ) Hours? I'd never thought of an attack lasting hours.
