Guest guest
Way to go and be consistent. When I first started, I would only do 15 minutes of the tape or so, and then realized I was always working the same part of the body. Then I started to do a warmup, and do 15 minutes of the tape from where I left off for the next workout, and then 15 minutes from there until I reached the end, then started over again from the beginning. Helped with boredom too. Keep up the good work, Delana. ________________________________ From: tae-bo_on on behalf of Charlotte Sent: Thu 11/17/2005 1:55 PM To: tae-bo_on Subject: update 14 minutes today, with 1 minute of extra ab work. So, fifteen minutes all together. I put the ab work in because of my short routines, I never managed to get to the area of the tapes that did " Ab " work, so it is " worse " spot. One minute does me in... but I know, already that I'm getting stronger. Before it was simply I would only " guesture " (intend to move that way, but not quite able to) and today I felt all the muscles in the stomach working --even though I couldn't lift as much as the tape was. I guess if I had to name a spot I'd like to change it would be my tummy. I'm averaging 4 to 5 workouts a week, and I feel like I could do more. Other than that, life goes on...and things are doing well. We got our first taste of winter last night as it hit the thirties, and tonight it's suppose to, too. My crab apple tree still thinks it summer and is as green as can be, I'm waiting for it to go bright red like it does all at once. It is a sight to see, and one way I mark the passing year. But the tree got decorated for Christmas....LOL. My pinetree dropped enough needles in the wind storm day before yesterday that most of of the crab tree has pine needles draped over the branches. Now if I could only paint them silver.... Charlotte As Deb has said: " Fitness is a journey and it begins with the first step. Guest guest
Way to go charlotte! delana ________________________________ From: tae-bo_on on behalf of Charlotte Sent: Mon 11/28/2005 3:52 PM To: tae-bo_on Subject: update 13 minutes today with 2 minutes abs. I did the Tae-bo Strength workout today. I had trouble with one of the moves -- I'm not nearly as coordinated as I wish I was -- but I worked around it. I'm not sweaty but I'm feeling a bit of a burn almost everywhere, which is always a good sign that you've done enough to challenge those lazy muscles. Tyra, I appreciate your encouragement. I made working out a priority in my life because I don't want to lose functionality. On my really bad days I can't even make it out to the mailbox. I don't want my " good days " to be the same. So working out is mandatory if I want to not get totally disabled. It would be " easier " but terribly boring. I wouldn't want the next twenty years of my life to be spent on the sofa watching TV. My grandmother did that, and now she's in a nursing home not able to remember anything that happened 30 seconds ago. She asks the same question over and over, and has progressed to the point that she doesn't know me anymore. Now, I'm not saying that TV did that to her, but I do know that since I was a child and up to 3 years ago, she watched TV from morning until night, rarely moving from her easy-chair. Now she needs a wheelchair for mobility, and her mind is like a seeve. That is not! the life for me. Charlotte -- Affirmation and my update! Hello to all! Charlotte, I don't think I replied but I am so proud of you for hanging in there. Don't worry, you will get those 3 minutes back. I am so impressed that you are getting those 12 min in. Keep up the great work! Much Love Tyra As Deb has said: " Fitness is a journey and it begins with the first step. Guest guest
Hi Charlotte It seems that you are doing great. Sorry to about your Grandma. TV can rob people of so much. That is why I try to limit my time watching TV and on the inter-net. Glad you are keep moving with Tae Bo. Ti Bo TigerCharlotte wrote: 13 minutes today with 2 minutes abs. Guest guest
I've lost 8 pounds in about 5 days.Amazing. Egads, how I must have been lying to myself. I did notice that Idrink way too many sodas so I think I will gradually drop the sodas in favorof more nutritious foods. I feel less "fluffy". I'm sure most of it is Congrats Charlotte! Cutting out those sodas is bound to make one less bloated! I bet you're really getting motivated now. Regina

Guest guest
Dear Gladys, know that you are in my prayers every day. I feel your pain -I went through something similar with my Mom eighteen years ago, and now I had to see my beloved husband dying. It was fast, for which I'm really thankful, because I knew he was ready to go. But the longing for him now is terrible and the vacuum he left cannot be filled not even with all the love from my children, family and friends. You are right in thinking what's the use of knowing what it is -it's just another of the many ugly faces of LBD, and why would we want to make them suffer through all the tests and handling that goes on in a hospital? May you find comfort in knowing you are doing all you can, and in constantly expressing your love to your Mom -I am sure she can hear you and that will comfort her too. My love and a hug, Raquel
