Hello and Welcome, Gail.

What I did when I started tae bo 7-8 months ago is I went slowly with movements that I had difficulty with. So you are right to remind yourself that the people in the videos are experts. You asked about Jillianne (sp)...She has been around for a while because I have an earlier series of workouts, (TAE BO II Get Ripped) and Jillianne is in them. As for Shellie, I think she is a black belt in some form of martial arts and if my memory serves me correctly, she has been in training since she was two. I look to Shellie and Jillianne as standards to aspire to. I usually know that I am making progress if I can keep up with them.

As for people in this group, it seems that there is a wide range of ages. I believe there are some who are late teens and definitely early twenties and some who are 50ish. I am 35 yrs young and getting better! LOL

Well, welcome again and I look forward to hearing about your progress!

Tae Bo Love

Thanks for the advice on the tapes and the warm welcome. I find myself strangely drawn to Tae Bo, even though I've stuck to low impact in the past, such as Sansone and Forman. I also have a few Firm tapes. I did order the Basic and Instructional set. I have Cardio Circuit 1 & 2. I also have difficulty with some combinations and with speed. I have to keep remembering that the people on the tape are experts at this and I'm just a beginner! It's a challenge sometimes to mirror what they are doing and still keep my balance. It is getting easier each time, well, not easier yet but at least less stressful.I have more questions! Are most of the people on this board under 50? Have you all been doing Tae Bo or other cardio for years? I'm fascinated with 's daughter and try to imitate what she's doing to keep up with the pace. I know she's married but what does he look like? Is he a white or black man? I read somewhere that he is in some of the videos. I admire the stamina and energy in the tapes. Is ne a long time participant, the woman that is always on 's right? I'm enjoying reading all the posts and hope to become better at Tae Bo as I practice every day.Gail
