Guest guest
Welcome to the group Kitta!!! Do you have any of the older tapes. They are really awesome and will help you take it up a notch. Some other options to consider is rotating in a workout like The Firm every other day or so. Or maybe you can see if you can find a certified Taebo instructor in your area so you can take a live class once in a while. a > Hi guys, > I really like and appreciate these message boards. Guest guest
Holly: It is a pleasure to hear from you. I am sorry that you have had to close down your practice due to your medical condition and it sounds like it is really hurting? Please just take it slow and easy if that is possible and give the Pain Clinic a chance. I have been going to a Pain Clinic for over 20 years now and they have been a life saver to me. The biggest thing is finding a good one that will work with you. I have found that perfect one. Now don't you ever think that you have a bunch of boring sob stories because we all have our own stories and believe me none of them are boring and I'm sure none of yours are either. Just take your time and join us when you can and when you feel up to it. Take care now! Guest guest
Thanks Dad! I appreciate it. It's just impossible for people who don't live with chronic pain to really deeply understand what it feels like, or how difficult it is to not be able to depend on one's body to perform as required, either from pain or fatigue. Thank you for being so welcoming! *Holly * * * *Holly Dorst* *Compassionate Help with Difficult Issues* *1050 N 3rd St., Ste B2* *Laramie, WY 82072* ** *

Guest guest
Hi Holly, Welcome to the group! We are glad to have you. Since you mentioned that your flares are managed, if you have time, it would be great to hear what you regimen is that you use to keep you at least tolerating this. I’m glad got to you with her gentle nudge. This is one of the greatest on line support groups I’m on. I am diagnosed with other illnesses, but it is my 29 year old daughter who is diagnosed with Still’s. It hurts so much to watch my own child suffer through these symptoms and be told that it is potentially life threatening. We keep moving forward and supporting each other. So you’ve come to the right place, rest assured. I’m sorry to hear about your “retiringâ€, however perhaps it will not have to be for good ?? Good luck with your pain clinic appointment, those places can go either way, but we will be here with you throughout it all! All my best, From: hollydorst Sent: Monday, June 04, 2012 11:20 AM To: Stillsdisease Subject: Hi everyone! OK, , I've taken your gentle nudge and decided to post to all, thanks for the encouragement. I've never been in an online group, but boy could I use some encouragement now! I am a psychologist, I have a private practice which I've had for 17 years. I'm closing my practice at the end of this month and it's proving more challenging than I had anticipated to say good bye to all my clients. I've loved my role in their lives, and I can see already how 'client-focused' I've become! I've been telling people I'm 'retiring', which I am, but I don't tell them why which is that my AOSD and MS are getting worse.. or at least, harder to manage every day. The pain is the most severe symptom, and the hardest to control. My doc decided she couldn't manage my pain meds any more and dumped me to a Pain Clinic, where I have an appointment later this month. She's also done other passive-aggressive, controlling things which helped me decide to look for care elsewhere. The problem there is that I live in Laramie, WY, and the closest specialist for my Still's is in Denver, 135 miles down the road. There's my 'sob story', to which there are many more chapters with which I shall not bore you all! I hope everyone has a wonderful day, and that those flares can be managed, or at least tolerated. Thanks for listening! Best to all, Holly
