Hope they figure it out soon. They have tried to give me the dexilant 2x now. I am always wary of new drugs. . . I guess just because I have had so many strange reactions to different meds. Is the dexilant working well?Lynne To: "asthma " <asthma >Sent: Thursday, September 15, 2011 6:32 PMSubject: Re: Ok, where is everyone. Madeline

Hi Lou. Yes I am home. I came home Saturday although I am still in a whirlwind of doctors. The breathing stuff is cut and dry at this point. It is all the other stuff. About two weeks ago I had an episode that judging from symptoms alone could have been construed as a heart attack. Tests have shown that there is no problem with the heart. However, something is affecting it as I am having palpitations and high and low rates when I shouldn't be. I am also have a whole host of other symptoms. So the docs are chasing their tails. They really think it is the thyroid and/or the parathyroid. However, testing keeps coming back normal or close enough to normal that it should not be causing symptoms of the severity. There are two other

theories. One,

that I don't have a thyroid condition normally but it is reacting to steroid bumps causing intermittent issues. Two, that I am having reactions to a new med (dexilant). They don't really think it is the dexilant, but they can't rule it out either. So, my internal guy and the pulmo have both thrown in the towel. They are handing it off to the endocrinologist who I will see next week. Whew. I think dealing with trying to breathe is enough.MadelineFrom: Violet Eudy

I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking about you all day yesterday. You are not still at the Spa? I am doing okay except we went to a Barbeque place yesterday and was really smokey. Not from cigarettes but their barbeque pit smoke was coming back into their building. My chest is still a little tight this a.m.

It worries me when this list goes completely quiet. Is everyone ok?

Good morning to all. I take dexilant 2 x a day and I have a lot a metabolism

problems with other meds and foods such as iron absorption. I had to have iron

infusions for one month to raise my iron levels. Be mindful of the changes that

happen with you and address it with you dr.
