Guest guest
I like that question, Darrin... One of the things that works well for me (when I do it :-))), is to acknowledge and so to speak celebrate in my diary the moments I concretely behaved in accord with my values. Or when I see other people doing that. I find that very sustaining and gratifying in and of itself. I couldn't tell you what those exercises are since I've been feeling good, living a valued life, not experiencing too many uncomfortable symptoms (eg. anxiety, etc.)and haven't been practicing ACT for a while. > > > > Over the years I've become more skillful at just being with my feelings, noticing, etc., but my default position is still to want to push feelings away when they come up. So what I'm saying is -- I feel like I could really benefit from practicing ACT more consistently. > > > > Okay -- so here's the question of this post, how do you remember to practice ACT when things are going well? How do you remember to remember? > > > > I'd love to hear your thoughts -- thanks! > > > > Best, > > Barbara >
