Guest guest
Hi All, Different states seem to do things differently. I live in Maine, I applied in 2000 and I was approved the first time. I had already had surgeries in 1990,1991,2000, and I had surgery while my case was pending. I had multiple conditions. I didn't need an attorney, I just filled in my own paperwork, and filled in all doctors that had helped me along the way. I've heard others hire an attorney after they lost the first time, or hiring them the first try. Talking to others in your state is the best way to find out you your wife's case will go. Best Wishes. Kathleen My wife is just starting to look into SSI. How hard was it? We are looking into an attorney. People at work used one with good results. Did you have to see the SSI doctor more than once? Is the fight just with the lawyers? Glad to hear your case went well. Mike from NY
