eye surgery

I have heard that having surgeries seems to excelerate the symptoms of

lbd. My dad is having cataract surgery and they are planning on

giving him vercet (not sure of spelling). Just wondering if anyone

knows if this would be considered to be something that would make the

alzheimers worse or speed up the symptoms?
