Yes, I understand. I don't taste or feel anything when I use asthmanex. The only medicine that I can taste and feel is advair. The powdery substance seems to be more thicker in advair.

Hello group,

I take Asmanex twisthaler 220mcg.

My concern is that the powder is so fine, I'm not sure I'm getting the medicine.

I don't taste the powder or feel it in my mouth. That is a good thing but I wonder if my twisthaler is working properly?

I assume it is working because I don't have shortness of breath. That is a good thing.

A few members replied to my posts when I first started on Asmanex. Could you please reply again and tell me if you have this problem?

Thanks for the info,

Donachi39

Hi hottrinbago72,I agree that you can taste and feel Advair. That's the thing. . . Asmanex is a step-down for me as I don't need to take Advair anymore.  It's kinda scary since Asmanex is the only medicine I'm taking for my lungs.  I will keep telling myself that  it's working because I don't have shortness of breath.

I haven't had any flare-ups for almost a year and I don't want to mess it up.I do have back-up. . I can still use Advair, Proventil and the nebuliser. Thanks for the reply.  I'm glad to know that it's not the twisthaler that is broken.

Are you pleased with the Asmanex?Talk with you later, Donachi39

Knock on wood. I'm happy with asthmanex. No flares either. but I was told by my doc to take TWO puffs as oppose to one. But yea, I don't think anything is wrong with the twist. Its funny I thought that same thing to, when I didn't feel or taste the medication.

I'm sticking with this. Oh, I also take 10mg of predinisone (yuk) everyday that I'm trying to get my doc to take me off, but he doesn't want to :(

Wishing u (all of us) well.

Oh yes indeed. I have a lot of thinning hair. Problems with gaining weight. Some nights I can't sleep. So I try to remember to take it first thing in the morning. But the end result is that I can breath LOL. I want to step down from taking it. I really do.
