Guest guest
i posted this from another forum where folks were frustated when i said there is tons of medial science showing what things are going wrong in various AF and hypot patients,, and what we can do about them.. folks get upset cuz it is complex science and insiste this literature does Not show us a darn thing re; how to get cured :/ so i posetd about this doctor: there is tons of complex medical informatoin that exists however it is " complex science " from many different specialties and sources and IS confusing and overwhelming. but it does exist! if you can't read and understand the complex papers __then we have to find Good sane caring SMART and *Analytical and Curious doctors__ who do understand the current science re: the whole biology and physiology of the human body and how 'lifestyle' hurts us and helps us. and where those same great doctors at the same time admit that modern medical science still does Not know a whole heck of a lot; and practices medicine on real life patinets with all the above in mind. HERE is 1 such doctor who Is up on all the current science and how Every day life and food and etc affects our whole body health from brain to boots read all the FREE pages on his site and IF you so *choose to sign-up to see his *Free Links you can always chooose to Open a new HOTMAIL account (oR etc) instead of sending him your " personal " email account. your choice. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Note: his views can be summed up by this statement on his Fibromyaglia page: " __*** When one looks at a syndrome with this `Whole' perspective, things are both more *complicated, and more *understandable and *treatable.***__ Thus, with fibromyalgia, we assume that there are a variety of antecedents, mediators, and triggers, which in combination can produce a syndrome we call `fibromyalgia'. " ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ now HOW /WHAT do we and our own personal Doctors do to Assess and Treat AF folks and Hypot folks who have Any of the common sytmpsom (incluidng " FM " and CFS so called symtposm ? read on Fibromyalgia Treatment http://www.wholepsychiatry.com/site/patient-fibromyalgia-treatment.aspx and Fibromyalgia Diet http://www.wholepsychiatry.com/site/patient-fibromyalgia-diet.aspx (remember that DR Teitelbaum the CFS/FM doctor also admits that " Adrenal Fatiuge " and HYpothyrodisim " all affect the same 'systems' in the body =hence the overlap of symtpoms and 'conditinos " . ) " The Whole Psychiatry evaluation of fibromyalgia will involve a careful history, physical, and a wide variety of tests, (determined by the history and physical exam), ranging from: genetic tests (to determine for example susceptibility to biotoxins, methylation pathways, detoxification pathways), tests of immune function and infection (e.g., NK cell activity, cytokines, CBC, tick borne diseases, viruses), tests of the environment (e.g., mold, chemical exposure), tests of *digestive, *liver, *nutritional and *hormonal status, tests of mitochondrial function, (YES!) neurological tests (e.g., MRI, SPECT, sleep studies, EEG). ___Based on these test results a treatment plan is initiated.___ Often, nutritional repletion (e.g., adding magnesium), correction of blockages in the Kreb's Cycle (e.g., removal of heavy metals, increasing malic acid), supporting detoxification,__ hormonal adjustment (adrenals, thyroid, melatonin, parathyroid, vitamin D etc.)__, and correction of immune system problems (**inflammation, infection) will alleviate the syndrome completely. " NOTE the above are very real asessments -tho WE may have to help our LOCAL doctor do his homework on which Specific Labs to order from and which specific Labs (and Code numbers) to order , for example http://www.wholepsychiatry.com/site/patient-chronic-fatigue-syndrome.aspx Note that DR Hedaya himself HAD CFS and cured himself!! =thru his understanding of how food and our immune system and stress system and our brain and its instructions to those bits help or hurt us " You might wonder, if this is not a psychological or psychiatric problem, why would a psychiatrist treat it? The answer is two-fold. First, I myself have had chronic fatigue syndrome and recovered, and second, it was through the process of treating myself, that Whole Psychiatry was borne. Of course, as a result of my own learning, it became apparent that the body and mind are not separate, and are one entity which must be evaluated and treated simultaneously for the best outcom " 8^) this doctor has a great sly sense of humor re: his observations of how Conventional " Allopathic " Medicine views the practice of medicine when he tells the story of how he Realized that the Head and brain are actually connected to the Body ... by something called " the neck " http://www.wholepsychiatry.com/site/our-approach.aspx The Whole Psychiatry Approach including this great Sectino /summary which is the standard ALL DRs must meet!: " Orientation of the Whole Psychiatrist The third and less tangible arm of whole psychiatry is the orientation of the psychiatrist. This orientation is characterized by a keen awareness that we have much to learn and humility is essential; that illness is generally a result of many predisposing factors, combined with triggering events. Thus the ability to look at the WHOLE picture (the symptoms, the person, the *biology, the psychology, the interpersonal situation, the family, the community, the culture, and spirituality), while leaving room for the unknown, this is the function of the Whole Psychiatrist. " ============ Note: his WEbsite _navigation/links_ are kind of buggy so you can't 'see' all the webpages and the DRs section from all pages' Left-hand " Navigation Bar " Mind Body Linkage Via the HYpothalamus (note gastrointestinal system is also included in the diagram http://www.orthomolecularpsychiatrist.com/site/physician-hypothalamus-diagram.as\ px Note: Left Hand Navigation bar on This page = Physicians Resources links ============ -Carol Note: i am *not suggesting people pay money to see this Doctor. i am suggesting you read every page and write down tests/ types/names etc and locate local " Atlernative doctors in your area to work with re: testing and assessments and nutrition and lifesylte changes and thorough hormone and Receptor status and genomics/nongenomic status. PPS DR Hedaya has an " Antidepressant Survival guide " that IMO would be worth looking into /Free info/ to decide if that is information worth exploring further: http://www.wholepsychiatry.com/site/readers-comments-adsp.aspx BLOG http://www.wholepsychiatry.com/blog/?page=2 his books http://www.wholepsychiatry.com/site/books.aspx
