Conjugated estrogen (CE) cream, an intravaginal sustained-release estradiol ring or estradiol vaginal tablets are recommended as effective treatment for vulvovaginal atrophy. 2. Routine progestin co-therapy is not required for endometrial protection in women receiving vaginal estrogen therapy in appropriate dose. It could be that a lose-dose vaginal application is not proliferative.
