Strange question can pain affect Asthma?

Hello All,Firstly sorry for half written message before this one hit wrong button.My question is would pain cause asthma to become worst? or would it likely to be opposed way around? only reason I ask I am suffering from dreadful stomach pain at the moment which GP is monitoring or will be when I read him the riot act tomorrow morning, my asthma seems to be worst when I am in pain more then when I am not could it be related or not?Regards
