Guest guest
Hi Janet, I get where my entire right side of my body is numb. It is really embarassing because even my face goes numb on that side and then I drool. For the last week it has only been my right leg. I have been walking with a walking stick for support. Everyone always asks me if I hurt my leg. I dont wear shorts in the summer because my legs have lots of bruises from falling alot! Guest guest
Hi Christie, I know what you mean! Except it just feels like my body isn't mine and I jerk when I try to move. I almost fell out of my chair a couple of times cause of the body jerking. It did finally go away after about 2 hrs and I was able to drive home ok. I do have these attacks once in awhile and it goes as fast as it comes. I do think the heat and working too hard may have something to do with it. It is now getting really HOT here in Texas now. My coworkers call me lazy cause I don't work the overtime they do and when I say I can't cause of my health they call it lazy. People can be so cruel. I am the only one who knows how much my body can take. Guest guest
Hi Janet I have a feeling the heat is what caused all of your troubles today. Will your boss let you have a fan on your desk to keep cooler. I know when my home temperature gets too warm I can feel it mostly in my feet and legs. Here is some lemonade for you. Guest guest
Boy that Lemonade sure tastes good! I think it might be heat too cause it seems to start happening more when it gets warmer. I do have a fan at my desk which I use quite often. JanetBill wrote: Hi Janet I have a feeling the heat is what caused all of your troubles today. Guest guest
Janet, Can you bring a cooler to work? If so, you might bring some frozen ice packs and use them to help. I find that if I get too hot, I stop functioning....I take an ice pack out, rest my wrist on it, and soon I'm cooler and able to get going again. Do any of your co-workers take a "smoke break?" Take a cooling break instead. Bring an egg timer (kitchen timer) seete it, and use it for cool time. Maybe that will help...? Sam Janet Coons wrote: Boy that Lemonade sure tastes good!
