" She and other researchers investigated weight changes in patients with moderate and severe dementia, hoping that staff training and a more supportive environment could lead to weight gain. They found that improved communication and patient involvement, altered meal routines and a more homey eating environment could increase the weight of people with Alzheimer's disease.
