Guest guest
Dear all, Does anyone have a favourite receipe for cold sores, I have two patients at the moment with really persistent ones. Looking through the archives I found information about melissa tincture, and how you can reduce it down to use in a cream. I only have a 35% tinc would this be okay to use, and what sort of quantity am I to put in 30g base cream. I have tried a few things over the years but have not found anything that works really well. Plus I have a new patient, 55 year old farmer with loss of desire, impotence and ED, after going through the case study I am sure that stress, over work and fatigue are the main culprits, no organic cause has been found after Ix and he has a very good relationship with his wife. What do you all suggest apart from the obvious adaptogens, I was thinking damiana but have never really treated this before so not sure what works best. Thanks for all your help Best wishes Sally Dr. Sally Moorcroft The Natural Health Clinic, Pigeon Cote Farm, Stallingborough Grimsby, NE Lincolnshire DN41 8AJ www.thenaturalhealthclinic.info www.drsallymoorcroft.co.uk To: ukherbal-list From: herbfarm@... Guest guest
I've always found a dab of liquorice works well on cold sores. I usually give it as a thyme and liquorice syrup but have also suggested to people that they chew a bit of panda bar or other good liquorice sweet and dab it on. It only works topically. Of course you should also look at the underlying problem that's triggering the virus. Guest guest
I mix tincture hypericum and hamamelis in equal part in a small bottle and then apply a drop on the finger of the tincture direct and regularly. If caught at the right time, the cold sores disappear overnight. You could try Tribulus for quick results for impotence (the mediherb tablets are great - I would not recommend the tincture as it taste disgusting.) Damiana can be great for some as well.
