To me, common sense says that there shouldn't be a difference between the strips in the countries. Canada would be such a small market compared to the US to have to have different production, but I guess you never know! Guest guest Posted May 13, 2000 Report Share Posted May 13, 2000 I just get teed off when the prices are 34 to 38 dollars U.S. for the consumer and insurance companies, when these strips only cost about a nickle if that produce and advertise. I still think it's these companies who are holding back on research and not pressuring for more money to go to research to lick this disease. They are doing this because there is too much money to be made. It's a shame the way millions go to AIDS, Heart etc. and a paupers amount go to Diabetes research. The Druids were right ! Basically, the blood glucose from the drop of blood is the same whether you're Canadian or American, but the way that the machine outputs the value to you is different... (right ?)
