Guest guest
Dear All,I would like to pick your brains for this case, as I have not come across such symptoms before. The patient is female, 60, has been diagnosed with CFS after extensive tests, about 3 years ago. Her symptoms, apart from usual tiredness, fatigue, muscle pain, disrupted sleep and digestive problems, include a shaking sensation, which the patient describes as " jittering " , or " washing machine vibrations " that she experiences inside her body: the head, the tongue, the chest. There is no observable tremor, but the sensation is very distressing, especially at night when it wakes her up. She had CFS previously about 20 years ago, but that improved with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. The latest episode has started with labyrinthitis (no symptoms of a cold at the time). Autoimmune disorders have been excluded by the investigations and the only abnormal blood readings are very slightly raised cortisol and fasting glucose (6.3). The peculiar thing is that apparently her brother and her niece have had the same symptoms, which have improved with self treatment. She also feels very thirsty all the time but DM has been excluded.I have treated many people with CFS and fibromyalgia but this case really puzzles me, and so far I have not managed to make any difference to this jittering sensation (I have been treating her for 6 weeks only, at least her digestion is better now). I would be very grateful for your comments and ideas. Thanks in advance
