(my reply trimmed your original replies...isnt' this right?)

Thank you Laurel for your responses.

I am sorry I have not gotten back with you sooner, but alas the life

of catching up after sickness for a stay at home mom with 2 kids

under 6 who works full time from home and whose husband is out of

town a lot, is, too put it mildly, crazy (yet somehow very

blessed!). I could barely afford the days off of sickness/detox.

But all's much better now and I feel better.

I decided to get off WP all together. After this experience, I need

to look at alternative remedies to my troubles, before going on with

WP. I did read, as you suggested, lots of back posts. It's a lot

of info to process and I certainly couldn't read it all in one

sitting. I do believe it sounds that you and I have similar

systems. I'd love to get your more of your feedback on what might be

happening according to my symptoms and, if possible, yours or anyone

else's advice. This may be somewhat of a repeat, but more info might

help.

Prior to Wiley:

Night sweats (on and off, since I started at age 11)

Hot flashes since weaned my 2nd child: getting worse progressively 1-

5 a day, for 2 years.

Acne: I had cystic acne in youth, but this was different. A

dermotologist told me it was rosecea and I would be on antibiotics

for life. (lovely, yes?) However, after 1.5 years, it all

disappeared...UNTIL my third month on WP when it started back up.

One week after being off WP, my face is back clear! yeah!

Low energy: I have started getting sleepy during the afternoon and

falling asleep just after dinner...say 8:30 PM. This symptom started

after weaning my last child (He's 4 yo now) Then I awake at 11:30-12

AWAKE, back asleep at 2 AM and then up again at 5:30.

Energy level: For my life, I have never been one to take a nap and

have never risen " quietly " in the AM. If I am so tired I do go to

sleep (LOL: pass out?), I almost immediately jerk awake and am unable

to get back to sleep. (the little engine that never stops!) In the

morning, that happens as well. My night sweats awake me like that,

too. Like someone yelling at me: WAKE UP! I have never been able to

sleep late. I always attributed that to just a high energy level.

hormones or thyroid???

Also, after working out 3-5 days a week for 25 years (Ahhh, the

single life), I am finding it harder to stick with my program.

On Wiley:

hot flashes and night sweats gone. (-:

Sleeping better, but day energy level and falling asleep at night,

the same. And still no more than 5 minute napping possible. )-:

Laurel, if would be helpful to me if you could look over these

symptoms and tell me what you think might be occuring (not medical

advise, of course, just gal2gal). Sounds like you've got a brain I'd

like to tap! Just fixing everything with one program, like WP, just

doesn't seem reasonable...though my doc seems to think it's close to

the fountain of youth and the cure for everything.

PS: My blood test for Thyroid and saliva and urine tests are still

not in. The doc gave the requests, but I delayed in getting them

done. Me, bad: I know I do need to take a look at the results.

FYI: I am on iodine for thyroid. I did have some thyroid cysts, but

after 2 year alternative treatment, all gone and only on iodine.

What will I do with this info? From your advise, I will start my own

further research. I would like to NOT spend time looking in places

that are dead ends. There's just too much info (conflicting?). Your

kind advice will be much appreciated. (I already teach/tutor

Philosophy, that in and of itself is a never ending rabbit hole!)

Anybody's, input would be helpful. The question: What would you do

in my shoes?

Thanks so much for your help.
