When you get used to just living with some things all or most of your life, you can tend to just think it's normal. My son, who also has Chiari, and myself, have had constant drainage down our throats. Wasn't til I just heard from you, Kathy, that I remembered. Just used to it, and compared to the big stuff, ... just forgot until you mentioned infection. And for Guy and , I e-mailed someone earlier that has a similar situation. If she hasn't e-mailed you privately yet, she may post a somewhat different scenario. Hope someone hears from her soon.
