Guest guest
hi celine, so glad i could help some, you just have to pick and chose what is worth arguing about and what isnt, they are in their own little world , so if she has hallucinations that arent bothering her, if she sees a cat, and it doesnt scare her, you may say something liek i will put some water out for it, dont try to convince her, no way to move taht brick wall. like taking the medicnes is important, but you might be accused of poisioning her, i was accused of that, but he would take the medicines from donnie he wasnt trying to poision him. you have to think like she does. and that changes frequently so it is difficult, we learned to give in to dad for alot of things, like the volume of tv, or the showering once a week instead of daily, but would stand our ground on his medicines, and showering if he messed on himself. as for the messages being overwhelmed you can go to the web page and get emails in bundles and you will recive 25 messages all in one email or you can chose to get none and just go to teh website and read them. a few to hints tho, we TRY to change the subjec t line to match the letter, teh letters OT in the subject line means off -topic in other words not related to lbd so if you are overwhelmed you can skip the OT's and save you some time. also you dont have to respond to each email you get, you can respond in a group letter, like thanks everyone for the info instead of to each person in particular unless that is what you want to do, as you get to know the group you will learn to skim emails instead of read them that is what i still do, i read teh first few lines or so skim the whole letter and if it doesnt strike a response mode i go to the next letter. remember we are here to help you not make you feel more overwhelmed. good luck and hugs, sharon ---- celine stahlnecker wrote: Sharon, God Bless you for your reply! We have tried just letting her shower once or twice a week and washup the other times. I guess if we could get her to not be so paranoid and to see the doctor that would be lots of help. I like the journal idea. Thanks for making me feel welcome and NOT ALONE. Celine Celine D.
