Thanks for the note.

We know that there are other options if PC plus fails you.

I am on a phase 2 vaccination trial at a London hospital and a registrar there said the object should be to keep those who feel well felling well. I.e. use the options that give minimum side effects.

I was not happy with this situation so since Oct 2003 I have self treated myself with PC Plus. Results Nov PSA 3.1, Dec PSA 2.62, A good indication keeping my fingers crossed. I am again in the process of changing consultant. I

After abut 12 months with PSA bouncing between 13 and 7, I now have a PSA of 16. we are hoping this will go down again when I go on the 7th if it suddenly starts doubling we will be looking for another option.

There is another complication that is I have been on Casoidex 150mg monotherapy with the vaccinations, this is now out of favour and my York consultant wants to change me to Zoledex. I will chat this through at St 's on the 7th

Happy New Year all

Thanks for the info re the group.

I'm not too clued up yet about low dose chemo, only that it has few side effects. One anti view I heard was will this preclude use of the larger dose later?

I'll try to find out more.

Have you seen the Epcel list where the chat is about the use of high

dose testosterone a la Leibowitz and ? If you've never had

Zoladex it will most likely reduce your disease burden and your PSA.

Other options are estrogen patches, DES if it returns to the market,

Ketoconazole and Prostasol.

Good luck and a Happy 2004 to you

Is the low dose chemo another of T. M. Beer's protocols? I've heard of

his " pulsing " with Taxotere which I believe is like IHT but with

chemotherapy.
