Guest guest
took my 2.5 year old to constipation clinic due to severe 'holding' and one year on Miralax and no improvement...she was diagnosed as 100% behavioral.... and I shared my concerns about Mira with the NP and she said " I didn't know there were support groups about miralax, we use it all the time " and I am bad at stating facts from studies, so I just left it at " I don't want to use it anymore " and she was all... " ok...... " and put her on " Little Tummies " lax 1 tsp daily. claims it is a 'natural' senna laxtive. no worries. It's been a few weeks, and it's weird, although we still have rare poops...actually it almost seems like she never has a big poop.. just like splatters every so often (always in dipe, never potty).. but no vicious holding. If she'd hold in the corner, I'd lovingly place her on the potty to break the extension posture.... but I haven't been able to use this technique because I can't catch her holding... she just doesn't seem to poop. Anyway... is Little Tummies ok? should I up the dose to get a bigger poop???
