Gosh - I was just reading about a minimal invasive surgery done on a gentleman

recently - who'd had hiccups for several years now caused by a tumor in the

brainstem ===and found links /info to a " center of excelence " team of

neurosurgeons in NY - doing min invasive surgerys on the skull base problems

such as ours /( they mention csf fluid leaks amoungst the areas they have

expertise in =and quite often this location tumor can lead to aquired acm ==

other clues in their website they may have acm experience beyond some -most too

), maxilary sinus tummors ( one current member I can recall now has both acm and

this sort of tumor acting up ) ===

what I DON " T know = is a thing about this center or these doctors =-posting it

in the hopes we may have a member or two who can tell us anything at all about

them = are they perhaps a good resource for us ?

I'm also going to check into a couple other teams /sites I found linked =see if

this isn't an area of neurosurgery starting to grow in numbers of locations ect

= I " ve NOT heard about any of the acm guru's beyond two possible , starting to

use these techniques and this sort of approach in acm cases ( Dr Jho is the one

I've read about more recently -but Dr Oro I believe has started using some bits

in some cases as well IF I'm remembering accuratly ) ...

it does make soo much sense to me IN some ways = but I also wonder if seeing

with eye's ON the area , may not be wise in at least some of the acm sitations

given the neurosurgeons discussion at prior asap confrences saying they DO run

into very unexpected sitations in a smaller percentage of cases /where those

eye's on make ALL the differance in knowing how to approach that unexpected spot

.... that said , I " d guess this could well have advantages as an approach for

those of us with connective tissue disorder entwinment too ==

Gosh , and I tend to feel medicine is bogged down in advancing acm care , ==

sure does show me how WRONG I am to think that way too = LOL .

Can anyone add to these thoughts now ?
