Well I have been getting fed up recently by the requests for membership

which I am presuming to be not bone fide. Most of you will have had that

awful note I feel I have to write to stop the automatic address searchers.

Recently I have been getting very few replies, this week has been the

opposite we have quite a few new members. Welcome everyone.

I went down to London (St 's at Tooting) on Wednesday and had a chat

with Dr Pandha's registrar. You may know that I had a prostatectomy in 1996,

the PSA slowly crept up to 9 early 2000 then the PSA shot to 19 in 6 months.

I started on Casodex 150mg (have breasts to prove it) but after 18 months

the PSA started rising again.

The doubling time was held back by Onyvax vaccinations (continuing Casodex)

bouncing in the 7 to 13 range from June 2001 to Dec 2003. The vaccination

side effects included going round in the LOndon Eye, going to Oxford Street

shops, London's museums etc etc. Then the PSA shot up to 29 and we stopped

the vaccine. St 's are running trial on low dose chemotherapy and so

I have started on 100 mg of Cyclophosphamide today. We will see if a I can

get another 18 months on this one with minimal side effects.

I am away to the Wye Valley on the borders of South Wales from tomorrow

until Wednesday - that will be a pleasant change too
