Guest guest
Lee, did they have written instructions not to give her those meds? Gladys -- Hospice Avian... DUMB QUESTION Last night at 7:15pm was the one week anniversary of Mother dieing in my family room. I know I've spent the last week NUMB!!! Now I'm getting ticked!!! Mainly at Hospice... PRIOR TO HER COMA... they gave her Avian (lorazipam)... and she WENT VIOLENT!!! Ive never had to call my 4 sons to save my butt... she was trying to murder me. Once she was in the coma and having constant seizures and convulsions... Hospice response was... " We give Lorazipam but you wont let us " (like it's MY FAULT?) If Avian did a super bad number on her behavior when she was awake... WHY WHY WHY would it be OK to give her Avian in a coma??????? What part of this med thing do I not understand? Couldnt' they have offered a different drug? (OR ARE THEY THAT STUCK ON THEIR WAYS?) Lee Howe ------------------------------------ Welcome to LBDcaregivers.
