Guest guest
Job Offer / Requirements >Be able to receive/transcribe voice files via the Internet >that are Real Audio files (.ra) or have the ability to >convert them into .wav files for transcription. - I have >Real Player!? Do I need special headphones to plug into the >computer? No special headphones are needed. Any will do. You could plug them into your speakers if they provide a jack or into the sound card. There is pedal and software support that will plug into your computer and playback the sound file just as a transcriber would. I am sorry I do not know the site that offers it. Or you could rerecord the dictation to your tape transcriber using the same jack you would use for the headphones. >Possess and be proficient in zipping documents using WinZip >or PKZip along with proficiency in using the password >feature; proficient in ability to send document as an e-mail >attachment. Pkzip is a dos program used to compact the files for transfer. Winzip is the windows shareware version. Both are easy to learn and use. >Possess billing software. - does this mean they want me to >bill them for the work I do for them? Is this normal with >the rate of pay being what they state below? >The rate of pay is .06 cents per 65 character line paid >biweekly. I assume that they would want you to have software that does the line counting and billing. It seems to me they are starting to ask for more than they are willing to pay. >It is a family practice >account using SOAP notes. Thanks for your inquiry, and I >look forward to your response. On the other hand soap notes are usually no brainers and I would say by far the easiest notes to do, given you can understand the dictator. >- Should I even bother? I've had a medical terminology but >I've only done urology so far. >Any help on the questions above would be greatly >appreciated. - Belinda That depends on how bad you need the work. Sometimes it is worth the gathering of the " experience " you may need to land a better job/account in the future. Quixote
